These are then reinserted into the scalp of the bald patch by the use of a micro blade. These cause very minute dot-like scars thereby reducing post-surgical pain. There is no suture involved in this procedure and the recovery is normally within 7 days.

Strip Harvesting involves procedure done under local anesthesia, where a strip of scalp is removed and cut into tiny tissues known as grafts and are transplanted into the bald patch of the head. The wound in the donor site is sutured to heal. However, there is a linear scar that is left behind and takes around 2 weeks to recover. Later the sutures are removed by the surgeon or a physician.

Nevertheless, the FUE procedure is considered to be the best due to its neglible pain and recovery time. This procedure does not require any hospitalization or rest. The sedation lasts for around six hours. The other steps prior to the surgery are the cleaning of the donor and recipient sites with shampoos and anti bacterial agent.
